Come to think of it, I suppose those beloved stories about the intelligence and nobility of animals, coupled with my passion for families and children has inevitably led to writing the Dixie Hemingway Mystery series. I've enjoyed reading the Dixie Hemingway series over the years and Blaize Clement was one of my favorite authors.

I cannot wait for her next book to come out. I really love that these books always seem to come out in the middle of winter, when reading anything set in a warm climate makes a book an even better reading experience. It detracts from the moral fitness of the characters, especially since they have never behaved that way it in the past. Blaize lived for many years in Sarasota, Florida. I usually don't figure out the mystery in a cozy til close to the end, so it was a nice change for me wink , to be a little ahead of the heroine. This is a good read.
No sooner does Dixie enter Trillin's home than she is confronted with the world famous model, Brianna. Dixie has met Cupcake's wife--and she's not this woman. The Book of the Month Club offers a wide range of books from different genres. And I have trouble understanding the desirability of designer items but they do make an interesting read as counterfeit versus genuine you name its float around the edges of the murder. Blaize passed away last year. Her son John Clement is supposed to continue the series, and it will be interesting to see where he takes Dixie. Usually she just pet sits as her everyday job but every once in a while a dead body turns up and Dixie is in the middle of it all.
Maybe Dixie is way more naive than I am. This is the first book written by John Clements, after collaborating with his mother before she passed away. It just wasn't the same without him. They are going to Italy on vacation and requested Dixie to The Cat Sitter's Pajamas 5. This was a murder mystery with a message. Dixie is taking care of the cats, Elvis and Lucy, at the home of famous linebacker, Cupcake Trillin. I was sad to hear of her passing and admire her strength and determination to get this book finished.
Good read, not too demanding, but not cloying. Brought home a requested Charles Lenox book today. When they go back in, that woman is gone, but another woman is dead in the livingroom. Oh yes, and most important of all: a heroine who doesn't annoy me. This particular edition is in a Hardcover format. I did pick up what seems a bit of cozy fluff as well, with a cute name, so will start it. Can she claw her way out of this one? The books that we have will boost your interest in reading.
